earth Feather is an open-source office writer for Android, Windows and Linux. It is built on a PDF architecture, so documents are formatted in the universal file format from the start.

Documents written in earth Feather do not need to be exported to PDF. They can be sent to colleagues or teachers and are displayed as intended. While not being just another PDF editor, earth Feather has the capability of a modern text processor. Text, textboxes, images, symbols, signatures, lines and arrows can be added and formatted. Backgrounds can be removed with a local AI model. Everything is saved and can be opened again for further editing.

Existing PDFs can be opened and edited like normal text. The main text is treated as one continuous text instead of separate textboxes for each paragraph. Pages can be rearranged, deleted, added and rotated. Page numbers can be added, comments read, words searched and encrypted PDFs opened. Files can be compressed, and LibreOffice and Word files can be imported.

The interface is designed to be functional and restrained. All tools are ordered in five panels at the side of the page, so they take no height from the document. Over 2000 vector symbols can be found through word search and can be colored, resized and rotated. Helping lines support the placement of elements. Colors can be set with RGB values or mixed in a color picker.

Every tool is custom made. The marker and cursor tool follows its own cursor logic, which allows a cursor that does not blink.

earth Feather does not collect user data. The application cannot make any internet connection. As open-source software, its code and all components can be inspected and verified.

The application is available for Android, Windows and Linux. It is currently free.
